Acknowledges favor of 15th ult. with membership diploma to philosophical society; will be delighted to communicate anything possible to the society; fears no more bones of Megalonyx will be found in cave; mentions again figure of lion carved on rock on Kenawha [sic] with many other figures of bears apparently of great antiquity.
